La Esperanza de La Primavera

La Esperanza de La Primavera explores the relationship between the landscape, body and the spirit, life and death. I aimed to show the harmony between these things, and the power that the land and spirit has over our own mortality. We do not choose when we get to inhabit our earthly beings, and we do not always choose when we get to leave them. That is up to nature and a higher power. Our connection to the Divine is the closest we can get to these otherworldly powers, and the earth keeps us grounded and close to our experience here. We are always existing in a duality of power and disempowerment. When we respect the land, we respect ourselves and our spirit in turn.
